AUGUST 5TH, 2026-USA EARLY GOLD BLOCKBUSTERS-GEM INDIANS

Hello All,

I hope all is well. With summer half gone we start to turn our attention to the upcoming ANA and other shows that, if other shows are any indication will be quite busy. With spot gold hanging in there around the $4,000/oz mark, a lot of money has been made in the last year or so in the precious metals business and some of those profits have been used to purchase rare gold and other rare coins for the win-win. Collectors always seem to "get it" when these things happen!

This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a major rarity 1797/5 Large Eagle BD-7 Half Eagle in Uncirculated MS-60 by PCGS and is among the truly great early American gold rarities that is tops in the eye appeal, grade and quality spectrum. Next up another great early American gold rarity of 1814/3 in MS-62 that in our opinion will eventually find it's way into an MS-63 holder or in the very least be looked upon as a truly premium quality early gold rarity. Next up is an uber rare proof gold, 25 minted 1873 Closed 3 that saw very light handling and now in a Proof 58 holder followed by a 1909 Indian half eagle gold in Gem MS-65 and right next to a 1912 Indian half eagle also in Gem MS-65 with booming luster, next up a scarce 47-O New Orleans Eagle in very choice about uncirculated condition per PCGS, followed by an uncirculated and choice MS-62 1892-Carson City Eagle that is top shelf quality, landing finally on a choice 1871 Double Eagle in choice about uncirculated 58. Quite a run this week yes?

Among the top finest known examples to exist. Pop PCGS 13 (finest is Pogue's 62+); NGC 00 (the pop report might still say 10 but that will change soon ) PCGS Retail Guide = $340,000 So rare that the Smithsonian doesn't have one. Rich honey colors with deeper orange undertones. Very attractive.

$265,000

1814/3 $5 PCGS MS62
